Charlie Allingham - Group Chairman

I first became associated with 1st Turnford when my son, David, became a Beaver in 1996. Since then I have always been impressed by what the Scouting movement generally, and 1st Turnford in particular, do to give young people enjoyable, educational and, yes, life changing experiences.

I was privileged to become Chairman of the Group Executive Committee in 2001 and have served as such ever since.

While you are reading this I would add that we are eager to recruit further committee members, particularly from parents of members. If are considering coming to join us please contact anyone in the group for a chat.

Angela Connoley -Group Secretary

I joined our Group as Secretary in 2011 whilst my 2 boys were in Beavers and Scouts. I have enjoyed the sense of community, having input into the running of the Group and making friends.
There’s always plenty of laughs to be had.
I work as a counsellor with children and young people in schools and have a small private practice working with adults.
I’d very much like to encourage you to join us on the Executive Committee or in any capacity, perhaps helping out at sessions, making drinks for the kids, putting tents up at camps.

We welcome any help you can offer.
